UWP Workforce Development Webinar: Achieving 5 Million Jobs Goal in PA

United Way Worldwide has set up 10-year goals for the U.S. based on all the great work United Ways are doing all over the country. One of those goals is that 5 million people will get better jobs. This ambitious and important goal requires community partnerships and thoughtful approaches. Luckily, Pennsylvania United Ways are already starting their work toward this bold goal. United Way of Franklin County join us to discuss their work in the field of workforce development and share their practical experience with our members.

Amy Hicks, Executive Director, and Cheri Kearner, Community Impact Director, of United Way of Franklin County, are presenting the Stepping Forward Works Program.  This program has been running since 2014 and encourages individuals to become self-reliant by focusing on improving competitive skills, financial literacy, and job readiness.  They work to match employers and job seekers and work with individuals throughout the first year of employment to maintain successful employment.

The webinar will be March 28th, 2018 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm and is free for our members.  At the end of the registration process you will receive a confirmation email with the link.
