United Way of PA Seeking PT Operations Director

United Way of Pennsylvania is currently accepting applications for a part-time Operations Director.  The deadline to apply will be February 20th, with interviews to follow. Please see the Full Job Description for details. The position will work, on average, approximately 30 hours per week and compensation will range from $17 to $20 an hour based on experience. The schedule can be flexible, but the employee must work during the normal operating hours of United Way of Pennsylvania (Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM.)

Essential Job Functions

  • Keep UWP’s social media current with information that advances the mission of United Way and implements UWP’s public policy agenda
  • Maintain content on the UWP public-facing web site, and assure content is fresh for returning visitors
  • Produce visually appealing materials, which adhere to United Way brand standards, in support of all aspects of UWP’s work
  • Manage the online registration process, and integration with online payment, for all UWP events, webinars and trainings
  • Maintain an up to date organizational calendar of events on UWP’s web site
  • Coordinate and update the UWP member directory for legislators and the public every two years
  • Support UWP President
  • Support bookkeeping and financial accountability functions
  • Support office operations
  • Organize electronic files and implement UWP document retention policies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of design software or programs such as Canva, Adobe, and/or Publisher
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products
  • Understanding of cloud-based systems and VOIP phones for office support functions
  • Minimal overnight travel required for Annual Conference (2-3 nights)
