Our Programs

Community Impact Fund

The Community Impact Fund is how we invest local dollars in nonprofit programs to address local needs. By leveraging donor dollars with our grant process, we ensure the greatest return on investment for our donors, nonprofit community partners, and those whose lives we improve together. We are currently supporting 39 programs of 20 nonprofit community partners.

EFSP

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is a federally funded program administrated by FEMA. United Way of Washington County administers the program locally to eligible agencies. EFSP funding is open to all organizations helping hungry and homeless people. EFSP funds must be used to supplement feeding, sheltering (including transitional sheltering), and rent/mortgage and utility assistance efforts only.

LIVE UNITED Day of Service

Our LIVE UNITED Day of Service connects volunteers with local nonprofit community partners to help make a difference in Washington County. Volunteers perform various tasks including painting, gardening, general clean up, food box packing and more for those nonprofits that are supporting our community.
