New ALICE Report: People with Disabilities in Financial Hardship in PA
For the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, United Way of Pennsylvania is launching a new research brief for PA – ALICE in Focus: People With Disabilities. The research reveals that the number of people with disabilities in our state who struggled to afford basics just before the pandemic hit is far higher than federal poverty data indicates. Of 1.7 million people with disabilities in PA, 50% were below the ALICE Threshold, compared to 19% below the FPL.
