More Pennsylvanians Now Eligible for SNAP

Starting October 1, Pennsylvania will increase the income threshold for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP.) With the change, anyone earning within 200% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines will be eligible. On average, Pennsylvanians enrolled in the program receive $63 per month in SNAP benefits. Over 420,000 more Pennsylvanians will now be eligible for SNAP.
