Celebrating National Gratitude Month

November is National Gratitude Month — a chance to pause, reflect, and appreciate the people and moments that strengthen our communities. At United Way of Pennsylvania and PA 211, gratitude shows up every day in the connections we make, the partnerships we build, and the trust families place in us when they reach out for support.

Practicing gratitude can boost well-being, reduce stress, and help us stay grounded during busy or uncertain times. Across Pennsylvania, we’ve seen countless examples of neighbors helping neighbors, community organizations stepping up, and families showing resilience. This month, we simply say: thank you.

Because of generous supporters, dedicated volunteers, and strong community partners, UWP and PA 211 continue to:

  • Connect people to essential resources like housing, food, and health services
  • Strengthen local partnerships that make support more accessible
  • Build statewide initiatives that create opportunity and stability for all

We’re grateful for everyone who plays a role—partners, staff, volunteers, donors, and the individuals who trust us with their stories.

Simple Ways to Celebrate Gratitude This Month

  • Say thank you to someone who made your day a little easier
  • Volunteer or lend a hand in your community
  • Support a local nonprofit you care about
  • Take a moment to reflect on something good, big or small

As we celebrate National Gratitude Month, we’re reminded that small acts of appreciation can create big ripples. Thank you for being part of a community that cares—for showing up, reaching out, and helping build a stronger Pennsylvania.
