Join Resilient PA’s inaugural Grassroots Champions Summit to discuss Trauma Informed care in Pennsylvania!
Our event will feature:
Beth Tomlinson, Senior Director of Education, from United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley will discuss the formation of Resilient Lehigh Valley. Resilient Lehigh Valley is a cross-sector, collective-impact effort dedicated to increasing youth resiliency through creating a trauma-informed and resilient community. To date, Resilient Lehigh Valley has trained more than 4,000 educators, health-and-human-service professionals and law-enforcement members in trauma-informed practices and secured commitment to taking a trauma-informed school approach with 7 out of the region’s 17 school districts.
Dan Jurman, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Office of Advocacy and Reform, who leads HEAL PA. HEAL PA is a team of over 100 volunteers from a wide variety of fields, geographies, ethnicities and life experiences, including several former think tank members and multiple trauma survivors, that has been assembled to serve on 14 action teams focused on implementation of the Trauma-Informed PA plan. Branded as HEAL PA, this mix of state agency representatives and community stakeholders from all across the commonwealth is responsible for prioritizing the recommendations, setting short and long term goals, and assigning accountabilities to make the plan recommendations a reality.
And most importantly… you! There will be breakout rooms that will allow all participants to connect with other champions across the state to share successes, make important introductions, and begin to plan out our future as Trauma Informed Pennsylvania!
