Mission

To mobilize human and financial resources for improving and maintaining the quality of life of county residents by linking partnering agencies, programs, donors, and volunteers.

Key Focus Areas

The United Way of Susquehanna County is much more than a fundraising organization on behalf of other non-profit agencies. We are an impact organization focused on helping children do well.

Our Programs

Real Men Read

As role models, professional men from the community visit every kindergarten classroom in the county every month to read and talk about the importance of reading, school success, and an introduction to career development. The kids then receive a copy of the book that was read

See To Succeed

Starting in the 23-24 school year, we will bring eye care to the schools. Insured and
uninsured children will have the opportunity to have a thorough eye exam in school and,
if glasses are needed, they will be provided to them.

Nurse's Pantry

We provide an in-school resource of clothing, hygiene items, and other needed supplies
to help children with immediate needs. This helps prevent absenteeism and bullying and
promotes success in school.
