The United Way Northeast Regional Conference is an exciting NEW opportunity for United Way professionals and volunteers across the Northeast to come together. Hosted in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, June 1–3, 2026, the conference will bring together 250+ attendees for the first time from United Ways in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.

Over three days of learning, idea exchange, and relationship-building, this event will unite a diverse network of leaders from United Ways of every size, offering sponsors a powerful opportunity to engage with influencers driving community impact across the region. Registration Details

Registration for the 2026 United Way Northeast Regional Conference is now open and will remain open through May 4. United Way professionals from our 13-state region in addition to those outside of the Northeast Region are invited to attend.

Full Registration after March 2: $450

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations emailed by May 4, 2026 will be given a refund less a $30 administrative fee. We cannot give refunds on cancellations after May 4. There is no fee to transfer your registration to another member of your staff. To cancel or transfer a registration to another member of your staff, contact nerc@uwp.org. (Note: this policy only applies to the registration fee; the hotels have their own hotel cancellation policy for room reservations).

Stipend Information

Conference stipends are available thanks to the generous support of United Way Worldwide. To help offset conference-related expenses, stipends of $500 or $250 will be available to the first 300 eligible United Way attendees.

Stipends will be issued to the local United Way (not individuals) as a lump-sum payment after the conference and may be used to cover any conference-related expenses. Receipts are not required; however, conference attendance will be verified.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Attendees participating in the full conference may be eligible for a $500 stipend.
  • Attendees participating in one day of the conference may be eligible for a $250 stipend.
  • The local United Way must be in good standing with United Way Worldwide. If you have questions about your current standing, please contact UWW through their online questions form.

Scholarships

We are pleased to offer 28 conference scholarships, each valued at $350, to fully cover conference registration. Scholarships are awarded in addition to the conference stipend. Applications are due by March 2, and scholarship recipients will be notified by March 16. Applicants who are not selected will still be eligible for early-bird registration rates. If applying for a scholarship, please wait to register. If you have have already registered and are selected, we will work with you to return your registration fee.

Scholarship Categories
Nine (9) scholarships are available in each of the following categories:

  • Emerging Leaders — future leaders with fewer than 5 years of experience in their current field
  • United Way Leaders of Color
  • Small United Ways— qualifying United Ways in Metro 6 and above

Additional Details

  • Scholarships are limited to one per local United Way
  • Scholarships are non-transferable
  • Recipients must commit to attending the entire conference, including the closing session on Wednesday, June 3
  • United Ways are responsible for travel, lodging, per diem, and all other expenses outside of registration
  • Eligible applicants must be from United Ways in good standing with United Way Worldwide

NERC Session RFP

We invite United Ways, dynamic speakers, practitioners, consultants, and thought leaders to submit session proposals that provide attendees with actionable tools, fresh perspectives, and inspiring ideas to help United Ways and their partners deepen their effectiveness and expand their impact.

Presenters are encouraged to design sessions that are engaging, inclusive, and actionable — helping participants leave with clear takeaways they can apply within their organizations, in their communities, and across the United Way network. Those interested in submitting a proposal should complete the below form by February 6. Speakers will be notified no later than March 9. For questions, please contact nerc@uwp.org.
